What your assistant can do with it
- Check claims against published fact-checks from PolitiFact, Snopes, AFP, Reuters, Full Fact, and other fact-checking organizations, with the rating and a link to each review.
- Find research: scholarly papers with DOIs, citation counts, abstracts, and free full-text links.
- Read any public page as clean text with its author and publish date, without ads or navigation.
- Vet a source: when a domain was registered, who registered it, and how long it has been on the Wayback Machine.
- Recover changed or deleted pages from the Internet Archive.
- Catch made-up details: compare a draft with its source and flag quotes, numbers, dates, and names the source doesn't contain.
- Choose the right AI: compare ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and more on price and features, including which ones are free and which pay you back.
- Get things done with AI: practical guides for studying, job hunting, and writing, plus 70+ free tools for resumes, citations, flashcards, invoices, and PDFs.

Common questions
- Is it free?
- Yes. No sign-up and no API key. Each IP address can make up to 60 requests per minute.
- Which AI apps can use it?
- Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP: Claude (web, desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT developer mode, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and others.
- What data does the server keep?
- None. It logs only which tool ran, whether it worked, and how long it took, never your arguments or results. Each query goes to the public data source listed for that tool. See the Privacy Policy.
- What is an MCP server?
- The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants call outside tools. Adding this server gives your assistant fact-checking and research abilities.
- Can it tell me whether a claim is true?
- It finds the evidence: fact-checker verdicts, papers, background, and source history. Your assistant weighs it and should cite it. No published fact-check is not a verdict either way.
